ABOUT DUSTIN STEEN:

Music has been in my life ever since I was born. My parents were my first influence.  I remember hearing southern rock and country from their band “Buzzard Roost”. That is what set my steps into learning how to pick up drums and singing after an early age of just 7. But my view on Music on my early ages verses now are completely different. My parents changed from southern rock to Gospel music around when I was at the age of 12.  So from age 12 I started playing my guitar and singing in front of the congregation. I Still didn't fully understand the concept of who God was or why he died for me. I had two God fearing parents, but I was steadily confused of why this man died for me and why he had to sacrifice himself for my sins. So my teen years around 16 I took a different step in life, away from a calling that was on me I started running with a different crowd, I started drinking at this early age and other sins kept piling up in my life, by the age of 20 I stayed on this path. I was empty and I couldn't figure out why, just empty. My time with alcohol for 4 years at a young age turned into alcoholism, and I turned into a lustful man in the process. In this time I had gotten laid off from work, and the only job I could snag was an offshore job on a shrimp boat. I stayed offshore on this boat for 90 days and in this 90 days, I had found God. I read my bible everyday on this boat away from everyone. it was me, my thoughts and God.  I dabbled through a chapter or a book every night. I finally had seen what God had wanted me to do in my life and it was simply use my gifts for him. So I started back home in my parents church to pursue in the music ministry. For 2 years I was apart of the churches music ministry.  Now I am on the process to reach out to others in different communities with Music God has given me. I am in the process now of making my Mixed Genre EP .. So stay tuned in for release dates on this and let God have the glory.
